Audi TT by PPI...

For those of you who like car-porn, click the link. For those that don't, or don't know what it is, let me explain a bit. It's called "porn" because the pics are gorgeous, & for most of us we can't have it.

Why are the pics gorgeous you ask? For this pic, it's the proportioned ground effects, matched with the not-too-overbearing spoiler, and the sweet, black rims to top it off. Machines can be beautiful, and this is a perfect example.

You can't kill the metal, The metal will live on...

Today I stumbled across Pandora's podcast, this time, about Metal. Although I think the podcast itself is interesting, I don't feel it does Metal justice. They play samples of certain types of sub-genres, usually played by an independent band, to illustrate the particular sub-genre being discussed. The problem with this particular episode is that these samples lack vocals. The group mentions that vocals can, and are usually, play an important part of the music, but they don't play any songs with vocals in the podcast. Like all Pandora's other podcasts, they have many popular music samples on the website to further illustrate the sub-genres. Make sure you go to the page to check out these awesome samples. Or, you could just listen to my Hair Metal station if you want to hear some sweet metal!

I think my kids are at a slight advantage...

By reading this article, I get the feeling that my kids could (almost) fall out of bed and do better...

Some DISD students not ready for college

As a rather new homeschool family, we are often nervous about the learning status of our children. Again, thanks to the internet, we can be reassured that we need not stress out.

God bless the internet

There have been countless occasions where Laura & I have gone to the internet to answer our most dire questions. For me specifically, the internet has come to me with answers to problems I didn't even know I had.

I read a several blogs every day (Lifehacker.com, TWIP, etc), but Dumblittleman ranks up there with my favs. They've always got some great tips to better your quality of life, of which I am always on the lookout. Today, I came across this:

7 Ways to Eliminate Emotional Clutter

Make sure to take a gander. You might find a solution for your 'ism's.

"I need a vacation." Not just a quote...

If you recall in one of the best Governator movies ever, "True Lies" Arnold just gets done fighting the bad guys. He's feeling overwhelmed, and says, "I need a vacation" in his Austrian accent. That's how I feel. The problem is, I don't want to go on vacation, I want vacation to come to me.

Would you die for the cause?

I don't think about it all the time, but every once in a while I think it would be an honor to die for the cause. This guy died by quickly reacting to a situation, and ended up saving the life of his 4 year old daughter, at the sacrifice of his own.

Dad died saving his little girl :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES

The real question for me is, am I willing to die for the glory of God? I don't know. I would easily die for my kids, but for a stranger? I have no idea. I guess you never really know until you're in the situation. Hmmm...

Do you Facebook?

The other day I was at a party and I heard a term I hadn't heard used as a verb: Facebook. Actually, the sentence went like this, "...Facebook me." What the heck does that mean? That's like saying "Myspace me." This does not compute.

I jumped on the Myspace bandwagon, & I now wish I hadn't. I spent too much time, & never really benefited. I really don't want to jump on another bandwagon to have it only be a fad...again.

So, I guess the real question I have is, is joining Facebook worth it? I've been thinking about Twitter, but haven't really explored it.

Many of you may say, why not both? Well, I'd rather spend most of my 'time' in one community, rather than many communities some of the time.
